I love this recipe for the simplicity in time but that doesn't mean it is lacking in flavor! This is a delicious treat you can serve as an appetizer or a wonderful snack just for you. It is versatile too. Use with a baguette, Triscuit crackers or on slices of melon. You will love all of the options.

Ingredients

  • 1 Baguette, sliced thinly, lightly toasted with drizzled olive oil over it.
  • or alternatively, you could use 20 crackers (I like Triscuits for this recipe, but any cracker would work)
  • 4oz goat cheese, room temperature, more depending on the amount of people you are wanting to serve
  • 1 jar fig jam, vanilla preferred
  • 8oz Prosciutto, thinly sliced. I ask for paper separation, so it doesn't stick together
  • Fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Salt and Pepper goat cheese to taste then smear goat cheese on crackers. This can be for as many as you would like.
  2. Add 1/2-1 teaspoon of fig jam, depending on the amount of sweetness. If you can find vanilla fig jam it is delicious
  3. Roll a slice of prosciutto around a basil leaf and add on top of cracker

In the summer months, adding fresh figs around the dish add for a delicious treat alongside the crackers. Adds to your presentation too.
